MAD for MOD

Visit us this market and see why Europe2You is...  MAD for MOD!   At Europe2You we do not follow trends but instead seek to set trends by applying timelessness design, a special form of sustainability.  Our largest and most exciting theme is ’Mad for Mod’. This is a nod to mid-century modern design. This aesthetic is quite important as it highlights vital components of key Europe2You products. Mid-century modern pieces are often characterized by simple lines, natural materials and ease of use.  This season we have stripped down our products to their essential forms,  giving maximum utility from reduced construction. We throw caution to the wind  as we play with bold shapes and colors, something we haven’t exactly done before. You will see bright colors and geometric...

Pantone Announces 2016 Color of the Year

Pantone announces the new 2016 color of the year… Rose Quartz and Serenity.  Of course we are all smiles at E2Y headquarters because our trend team is already ahead of the game with a bevy of new products that fit the bill.  Most can be previewed next month at America’s Mart.  This is the first time that Pantone has named two shades at once, and we love the concept.  Both shades are soft and romantic on their own but when blended together they offer up a sophisticated elegance that we think is just lovely. Take a look and share with us on Facebook and Instagram!

For almost a week, many of you and countless other buyers, press and industry professionals are descending on the sleepy little town of High Point for this international tradeshow. The show is open through Thursday so for those of you who are attending, please plan to stop by and see us in InterHall. And for those who aren’t able to come, enjoy the pictures below- we happen to think this is...

Dough Bowl Redux

Since the early days of Europe2You, our antique dough bowls have been a best-selling item.  They have a classic French air about them that we're fairly certain will never be passé. Their imperfect nature and versatility have made them ideal vessel for decorative arrangements and floral centerpieces- regardless of what style décor you have. But we recently came across a photo of a small dough bowl being used as a serving bowl for tortilla chips and were immediately inspired. Use a dough bowl for something other than flowers and trinkets?! How fabulous! we thought. So with that inspiration in-tow, we began conjuring up alternative uses for these antique bowls that would help give them a fresh look. Below are a few...

The Truth About Cutting Boards

Not all cutting boards are made equal. In fact, there has been a long-standing debate in the food world about what type of cutting board is the best to use- plastic, bamboo or wood? We happen to be slightly biased towards the latter but, in an effort to be fair, we took a closer look at each of these materials and what researchers have to say about them.  It’s commonly thought that plastic cutting boards are the most sanitary. However, studies have shown that plastic surfaces retain more bacteria than wooden ones. As the board becomes knife-scarred, it creates crevices that breed bacteria. While they are economic, they are not ideal for keeping a clean and healthy kitchen space. Bamboo...
